Osmosis Guarantee Claims

Does anyone have any experience of claiming on a Blakes Osmosis Treatment insurance guarantee?
Mine is with the European Technical Association for Protective Coatings and for a treatment that took place in 2000 that has gone wrong. Getting action on the claim is proving very difficult as nobody seems to want to own the problem.

have you approached Local Trading Standards Office ?? they will normally advise next action - if they cannot pursue it themselves .......
Next of course is maybe the Small Claims Court - but that depends on the extent / value of the claim ..... citizens advise / or a phone call to the relevant Small Claims Court Officer ... from phone book will illicit the info .......

Problem is to prove negligence / failure and COMPETENTLY .... as most surveyors will baulk at the job !! Sorry but fact ..... I have supported claims of owners on various and still the claim has been refuted.....

You must be sure of your position ... are there any conditions that are required by the guarantee - such as annual checks etc. ..... be very careful to make sure that you 'have complied' with the conditions......... then hit 'em via the Ombudsman, Small Claims Court ...... Trading Standards ...... remember that the Trading Standards / Court will go for the people who did the job .... Ombudsman will go for the Insurance Co. who issued the guarantee.
