Osea Island

Not to sure, but aware he was trying to build some holiday lets on the island.
Think Hoseasons were involved.
I know he has been to court in relation to the rubble he had placed on the sea bed, to mark his cauceway.

Believe he is a very wealthy man, made his money in hair products me thinks.

I saw a house advertised a couple of years back on Osea Island in 'Coast' magazine (my wife buys it - it's about wealthy Londoners buying up second homes and wrecking the local economy mostly) for 2 million.

Yes that's a huge unattainable amount of money for mere mortals (me and I expect most of you!) but compared to what you would get for that in Dulwich SE London where I do a lot of building work, it starts to look like good value.

Unfortunately in tune with Coast magazine the first action of the owners is to raise the causeway, seek planning permission to change all the buildings and not worry too much about the locals.

Another thread possibly could be....'if I owned Osea Island I would....'

......Concrete it over and turn it into flats?

On walking passed today there were a number of diggers, skips and general plant at the head of causeway, no one to ask as they were all 'avin a fag in the van' as the tide was in but it does look as of possibly the rubble is about to be removed. Me and the dog will check it out later this week to see what is occuring.

I also saw the diggers on Sunday, single large one, and one smaller.

I think it is work to the sea wall, as they had loads of bitumum, and the oven that melts it.
Though i may be wrong...
Must say, a large amount of tree logs washed up on beach at this point in the Blackwater.
Not sure where they came from, but worth keeping an eye out for, as a risk to navigation when washed back out on a high tide.
