greetings, i need someone who can help me to replace the plywood wheelhouse roof on my kingswift. the guy that was going to do it is too busy and keeps letting me down.

anyone help, or know someone who'd be interested. there's a potential for lots of other work too if interested.

cheers, steve.

Hi I also have an Osborne, a 1931 Everyman that was extensivlely rebuilt from stem to stern by her previous owner. He's now a very fit 72 and to supplement his income works on classic boats. He's just completed replacing my canvas decks with epoxy.

If you're interested his name is Geoff Stanfield, he lives in Eastborne but is completely mobile and can be reached on 01323 640159. He's not expensive and I recommend him. If you call him, tell him it was through me

Good luck

Jonathan

Have you got it out of the water then? I'm about at the weekend if you want a hand with anything.

nope, still in there. but i do need to make a firm plan on when where and how etc. at the moment i'm quite happy to leave it on the mooring untill such time as i can devote the neccessary time and money to it. but trying to get the boat out when mike can work on it is proving to be a bit hit and miss. what i don't want is to get it out and have it stuck there with no work going on... i' drather wait untill i can hit it full on.

whick is why i'm looking for someone else to oversee the woodwork side of things. i may have to resort to calling in a boat builder, as i don't want to bodge it up myself.

probably see you the weekend, if i get the microplus sorted and a fuel tank.

regards, steve.

I've got a spare placcy 30 ltr tank with a fuel line that fits a mariner. In saying that its not the long fitting with bayonet. Its the 2 prong one more like the yamaha type. If you could get a fitting for your engine I'll stick the tank in the boat and bring it with me if you want.

you down this way this weekend?

if so i'll take you up on the tank... buy or borrow, you decide. hoos got one for me too, but he's away at the moment.

if i get a chance the boat's got to be tested, might combine it with a trip to studland....

let me know (by PM phone or whatever)

see ya, steve.

Cant help you with your roof, but also have a Kingswift 26. Only had her few weeks with lots of work to do. Have layout plan from handbook. I'm on the Medway in Kent. Wish there was a club for Osbornes.
