(Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this, I couldn't find anywhere else)
Hi,
My dad is a yachting enthusiast - he has his yachtmaster and stuff, and we sail a lot in the holidays, and my mum is also big on boats. Their 25th anniversary is coming up September next year, and as a special surprise I want to organise a trip for the two of them.
My dad has always wanted to spend a while sailing round the Solent, and around Calshot way, just him and my mum. They used to own a Sigma (sp?) 33 called Nudger, but they sold it when me and my sister came along.
I would really appreciate some advice on how to track down Nudger and see if it is still servicable and avaliable to rent, or alternately if not then what a good boat to rent would be. I don't know all that much about pricing, either. Also any other advice on organising a trip like this - I want them to be able to choose their own route and stuff, but I don't know whether I should be paying harbour berth thingies in advance or something along those lines. I am enthusiastic, but I don't actually know any of the practical bits to do with sailing, I usually just follow dad's instructions! Therefore, any advice that anyone has would be hugely appreciated!
Thank you
