Ordering the threads

Can someone please tell me how to get this forum to organise the threads permanently in the order of last comment posted, rather than the order the threads were started. i have worked out you can click on the little arrow at the top, but I want it permanently organised like that and I have tried every option I can see and they are still in a random order :(

Agree that would be a better default (ie last post first rather than thread start date). It can be configured in the admin CP for vBulletin. Ask Dan to change the default, it makes more sense and behaves like the old ybw bb.

at the bottom of the list is an option button

I made a similar post under the heading "Unread Posts" in the feedback forum. My concern was also that you cant tell whether a forum has new posts since you last looked, without entering the forum. A PIA if there is nothing new!
 
Ah I am glad its not just me!

I use a couple of other forums running on v Bulletin. No problems on those. The threads come up listed by latest post first.
 
The Mobo forum is in Thread started order (which I prefer) but the lounge is in last posted order (which totally confuses me) if you update the sequence, next time you come back it reverts to the original. It is a noted error (that it doesn't remember your preference) and is on the feedback forum

The old forums were based on the time of the latest post so, for familiarity, it ought to be latest post here. I'm finding a right royal PIA!
 
Mine is on Last Post Time. I did not set it that way, it's just the way it was when I entered, and it does not change when I look at another forum. Perhaps it has been changed globally without us being told.
 
Oh please don't tell me they're still running the board with threads in the order of original posting, rather than most recently replied to as every other forum on the Internet has it!!!

Madness.
 
Ha, well this thread seems to have jumped back to the top with my recent reply so maybe they have finally got it configured correctly.

Thank goodness for that! Well done IPC.
