I watch a Youtube channel called 'Sailing Jupiter' an Australian guy with a catamaran in the US who had both the Sailrite and the Chinese job
He compared both machines and it was virtually identical except for two parts, both of which were interchangeable - and supplied to him by Sailrite for the copy machine. To all intents and purpose they performed the same as regards stitching through thicknesses. Very clearly compared and the copy model had somewhat better method of stitch length lever. Reckoned he saved $400 buying the copy. Worth a full look.
