I recently bought a pair of these. Very comfy and waterproof. However the dye is running. Very hard to remove on some surfaces and marked the light parts of the boots.

Anyone any experience with these before I return them?

OK, no reply in 24 hours probably means no one has them. TI learned they are new out this year when I took them back this morning. I know the dye is not fast, maybe due to a process problem? If so, be wary of them as that problem is unlikely to be isolated to one pair.

What to replace them with?

Not new, I've had a pair for four years. Not had a problem with the dye but not worn the too much because they dig into the back of your leg after about two hours on. Get some Durbs and ignore the green welly brigade who will no doubt be here soon.

Hi,

bought a new pair and first big rainy day (4-5h straight) I got my feet completely soaked
Has anyone had the same issue?
I really didn't expect that

thanks

I wear my trousers outside my boots then the rain water doesn't fill them.

I'm pleased with mine, dead comfy and a bit longer than Dubes methinks. Less chance of filling my boots when it's a bit deeper than I thought when landing the dinghy.

As a bonus they were £75 cheaper than the Dubes I tried on but couldn't get my calves into

Wife and I have had these boots, orca bay extreme, for a couple of years now excellent on deck, just like slippers so comfy. Haven’t noticed any discolouration on them as said wear oilys on outside of boot. Great value for money.

I have a pair of Quayside boots which I have always given a good coat of dubbin they are about 6years old and worn very well also never leaked. Cost me £99.00 very good value I think.
The galley slave has a pair of Waveline which are 4 years old and doing well also.

My Quayside must be at least 4 years old too. Not only comfy but the only pair I found I could kick off using the other foot (if I go overboard for example). Looking at replacing with same but the newer ones are slightly different - on the other hand I doubt I'll find a better price than this http://quayside-uk.com/product/offshore-navy-samples-seconds/ Anyone know what makes them seconds?

wearing trousers inside would be rather daft :/

I guess I'll test them in the bathtub to see where it leaks

thanks
Philippe
