I don't have a sundream 28, but I do have a Jeanneau sunlight 30 of similar vintage. These are quick boats ( compared to a westerly) and probably a lot more fun to day sail - they will have better light airs performance than some of the other boats in your list , and if sailing with small children this may be an important factor, they are light and airy below, and the cockpits are comfortable to spend a long time in. Curved edges and angled seats make sitting at sea sailing a lot more comfortable! Just my tuppence worth
