Opinions about the Norfolk Trader wherries ?

Yes. Think you are right, only one 45 has been built by Charlie Ward, previous owner of the "Norfolk" boat range. Designed and built for his own use, but does not seem to have resulted in any orders for other people.

More like a boomie barge. Not what I would choose but it would be nice to see a few around to add interest to the today's rather monotonous seascape.

They are indeed very nice, but not based on a wherry, which is a single sailed barge with a lowering mast.

Quite right of course. I would have said 'Thames barge', except that she's clearly a gaffer. The mast is in a tabernacle for lowering, however. (And the bowsprit is hinged as well.) She has lovely classic lines, doesn't she? It seems a pity that only one was ever built.
