OpenCPN & Nasa AIS

I'm just trying OpenCPN and I wuz just about to go and order one of Nasa's AIS engine 3 for a PC before I had a horrible thought that maybe they don't talk to each other. (Using M$ windows 7)

Anybody here know?

That they are using nasa ais3 and opencpn together

you can link a gps to the nasa and it will forward the position to the pc

No problems, they work fine together.

USB connection makes life simple - SeaMark Nunn were doing a special with a VHF Aerial thrown in.

OpenCPN and the NASA AIS engine work fine together. We used this combination on our North Sea crossings in 2012.
