Open CPN vs Raster chats

I think you are being unfair to the OP. AFAIK there are no detailed charts of Nisos Keros even as S63s. Maybe hidden in the Hellenic Hydrographic Office's bilges..... I am happy to be corrected though.

Mike

Ive just checked and you are not wrong ...
I stand corrected - apologoes OB

navionics are a bit better but not much.

GE2KAP can make charts from navionics images in sas.planet as well.

This SAS planet You mention is new to me. Can´t find info over it except for Russian stuff.
What is it exactly, is it safe ?
Those Navionics images you mention, can they be found in the net or have to be bought ?
Have used GE2Kap to create maps for Open CPN, find that GE image looses a lot of quality.
Is it possible my “Image or Screen capture” is not correctly configured ?

Take a look at the GE2KAP author's page of downloads and the help pages accessible within GE2KAP. http://www.gdayii.ca/Downloads/

Navionics images available within SAS Planet but initially you need to be online.

Thanks. Hit the download button for SAS. Great tool.

We used to swap charts or have photocopies made. On those photocopies I then coloured the land with coffee and watercolour pencils. The days before laptop.
Curious; on almost every chart I had a Merlot coloured ring. Hmm.
