So, I've just lost my passarelle remote for the second time in 6 months, probably went over the side. Replacement is £188!!! Anyone know of a sensibly priced alternative?

:(

probably need to buy yet another one and then use one of these universal controls (er, tv/garage motes et al) and read the codes, so you can have a copy...
At least down here, you can get your (working!) remote to a locksmith and they can (often) supply generic replacements tuned to it (most likely a garage door one). Problem is that the passerelle one should have at least 4 buttons whereas the garage ones I've seen go up to three...

Would be interested on what you find as I'm getting a passerelle that doesn't have a remote at all and was quoted similar prices for the remote but I also need the sender unit.

Did you have any luck finding a new remote? I'm in the same boat here since my remote for my Opacmare gangway died recently. Any help in sourcing a new one would be greatly appreciated.

I've spent some time thinking about this.
My solution would be to buy a four way radio control unit from china from eBay. Search on 12v or 24volt radio remote control.
Costs four or five quid and the one I've fitted to my passerelle works perfectly so don't panic about quality and they're cheap enough to buy one for spares. You can order extra fobs. Don't worry about china, they probably make the Opecmare ones anyway.
If you're electronics savvy, or you can find a competent electrician, then the new unit receiver can be hard wired to bypass the Opecmare receiver directly into the power relays for the hydraulics. Not rocket science, just a cool head and a multimeter required. Should take no more than an hour, after you've uncovered the relay housing (which usually takes many hours of tracing and unscrewing furniture) but then we all know about that don't we.
Good luck and Carpe Diem.

If died as not working, I would take the remote to an electronic (TV) fixer and should be ok. My Opac remote did the same and I fixed if for just 5 EUROS, I also fixed a neibours boat for the same money.
