Hmmm - passage weather suggests it'll be a bit lary on Thurs. Might have to leave it til Friday (or come earlier on Wed) although this suggests the opposite

Wind finder and wind guru seem to agree Fri pm onwards things settle down a bit.
We were always looking at a Fri evening departure, maybe this will be a reality!

Out: Wednesday (leaving just after lunch - Ostend 1 or 2 am Thursday) - expect to motor most of the way.
In: Sunday (sailing no later than 06H00) SW 4-5 should be nice

The critical thing for me is when that ridge crosses the channel, I want to be leaving Ostend with SW winds and not fighting and motoring into sloppy westerlies. So departure Shotley still looks good for Friday early am broad reaching / running accros and departure Ostend will be probably early am Sunday hopefully with a reach. Still we will see what weather has established in 13Hrs time
