Sorry we didnt get much chance of a chat at Southwell.
Interesting thought. but I am being pestered for a "boys" weekend mid May or mid June. Could just stay on the boat but havent won the lottery yet.
definitley in consideration. I could get there and make sure there were berths reserved while enjoying the local hostelries /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Should be good fun!
For those that missed it, we are meeting up on evening on 18th Feb at the Lord Nelson, Ipswich at 19h00 to chew the fat and discuss possible follow on cruising plans for the week....
Few others coming along as well, just for a drink, so all welcome...
Guess it will be pretty much the same as last year:
- Mercator for festival boats only
- RNSYC - strictly first come, first served. Robert won't be back from Kenya till mid-March - will have a word with him when he's back. Should be "some" room as most of the RNSYC cruisers will be sailing the Ostend-Ramsgate-Ostend regatta.
- RYCO - now fully refurbished. They might take reservations, but middle of nowhere.
Can make 18th Feb - wife and kids visiting relatives (hers) - will bring cloggie charts.
Excellent..... looks like a good weekend to be in Oostende.....
Bit worried that if RNSYC is first come first served, we'll probably not be over until later Sat afternoon...... so could be tight.... but there again, if the racers are off to Ramsgate, that'll help....
This may be counting my chickens before they hatch.
Is there still space for a small yacht on the trip?
This is assuming that all goes o.k. with my purchase.
Southern North Sea quite big enough 4 all of us Clive , /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gifsee you there, we plan a thursday crossing

Edit:... just seen from your bio that you are a petrolhead... we'll be getting along just fine /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif... several car nuts already coming along on the trip!

Have accepted offer & deposit. She'll be making tracks for Ireland at the end of the month.
Hope to have "new" boat by the middle of March (15th wedding anniversary).
The Ostend trip will be the first trip abroad in the new boat.
I had hoped to be there but the in-laws are coming up for the weekend from Bristol
to help celebrate SWMBO's birthday which is not until next Tuesday.
I will have to be on parade.
Do have a good time and keep us all informed of the plans.
p.s. Still waiting for the report from the surveyor.
Promised be the morning.

Where's your sense of priorities?!
I emmigrated to avoid my outlaws.
I think that If I give them a slap up meal on the Friday evening and let them go to the pictures on the Saturday evening I may still be able to make it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
