Could be wrong but I think the story relates to a fraudulent claim of 2 mil euros by the owner, expensive error of judgment.

Google Translate says that the owner and a local fisherman cut holes in the hull and portholes in an attempt to sink the boat 36 miles off Genoa back in April 2014 (although the U Tube vid says April 2013) in order to defraud the insurance co. Not sure why the boat didn't sink completely and was salvaged. Yes its a San Lorenzo and looks like a relatively new one at that. Shame to do that to such a lovely boat
