Online shopping from China

You'll find that Auspost also consolidates orders in China as do a number of other companies. I know it works for China - Aus / NZ but no idea if it works for the UK.

Yes, you are quite correct (I wasn't aware of that)(y)
That's pretty clever? (I'm going to order some more small items so I'll do them in a batch though AliExpress)

Consolidate shipments going to the same recipient

Once you become an Aliexpress customer and get on their books and into their algorithms you the receive offers for items for a similar application to your orders - and to encourage you to buy - the shipping can be free. Even doing a search on Aliexpress, once you are on their books, can solicit some interesting (or very strange) offers.

Its all very clever.

Well I've given eBay a big miss because unbeknown to us buyers they allow Chinese sellers to present themselves as Australian sellers. I had a row with one seller and the next thing I had a letter from the seller based in Hong Kong. I'm not the only one complaining. I am now using AliExpress and at this stage quite impressed.

In future when I buy from AliExpress I will buy several item at a time so they can combine postage.

eBay chinese sellers presentng themselves as Australian - Google Search
