One Of Those Weekends
As a last minute decision, we decided to spend the weekend at Poole quay, so at 6,30 on Friday we set off from Wareham, got to the bottom of the river and both engines overheated. By this time it was darkish so we dropped the anchor to stay for the night. Only problem was, as we where in such a rush to get off, we didnt take any food. All we had was a tin of curry and some pasta, so we had the curry and Lucy, our retriever, had the pasta, as curry might have had a dire effect and not being able to get off the boat!! In the morning, I phoned my mechanic, explained what had happened. We had only just put the boat back in the water the weekend before and I had just replaced the impellers with, I would add, proper Volvo ones. As it was working ok before, he said try putting the old ones back on, which I did and it worked. How can this be, 2 new impellers for a Volvo 41b right number and in their boxes not work properly?.
