One of the pleasures.....

flags.jpg

This is a flag code that is not allocated a meaning.

UW9
I could suggerst that it be used to indicate ECF

if it's not such a stupid question - seeing as you have already said that it hasn't been allocated a meaning - what is the meaning? :D I mean, why would it be good for ECF?

It was just a photo I had avalable on line.
I have done some more hunting and find that there in no meaning for the code ECF as well.
I don't have a photo to show that.

Whilst I do,like the idea of a burgee.. And the drunk mouse seems quite appropriate...

What I also like about ECMF is the fact it is totally informal and there are no rules, no committee, no membership secretary... I would be concerned that a Burgee may get followed by a membership of some sort and it could become a proper club... Which is really not what we seem to be about..
+1

I just fly my skull and crossbones from time to time. If I see a boat on the East coast, with a pirate flag, it's a good bet it's an ECF boat...

Hi Lisa
It works, recognised you lining up the channel to Bridgemarsh around 1pm today. I'm not sure my wife appreciated me hailing 'Lisa' at the top of my voice.... but the ECF hoist was recognisable from some distance

nice to know! I think we saw you sailing up behind us as we turned around. I had 'Laurin' on board plus their kids and guests - it was getting a bit rowdy so we probably didn't hear you hailing!

I failed my Yachtmaster...

Because I didn't have the VHF on all the time...
You could... should have been able to raise each other on the radio????

We also managed to peek our nose out yesterday.... it was LOVELY!!!
then had engine alarms going off all over again...ho hum
