Re: autogyro's I think that's a Cierva in the video. Probably early 30's or so.
I used to live near Reymerston Hall and met Ken Wallis a couple of times - saw him bimbling overhead in one of his own designs on most days. Probably the ultimate Autogyro designer and pilot. He flew the autogyro in whatever bond film it was and holds most of the Autogyro records.

My late brother lived in Reymerston and on a couple of occasions we saw Ken Wallis take off in what must have been his back garden. That was getting on for twenty years ago. My brother was restoring a barn. It was his dream home and he passed away pretty well as the place was finished. He was 43 and I still miss him.
