I'm trying to gather details on the engine below.
Aside from the pic, I only know it's supposed to push a 23' monohull at not less than 85 kts! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Therefore, my guess for its output is well in excess of 500 hps.
Ideas on its brand, or other details, anyone?
Ta!

Well spot, thanks! That's surely the one.
Though unfortunately their site is indeed awful!
Do you know by chance anything else about them, particularly as far as reliability goes?
With these custom built engines, I guess that even when not used for racing, they might be a maintenance nightmare...

Looks like a photo of a engine thingey like the ones somewhere on our boat that a nice little man looks after. I wonder where exactly on our boat they are stored, judging by the noise somewhere under the floor in the middle but that's just a wild guess /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I would think anybody needing a gazillion horsepower to move a small boat fast, would be in the same mindset as motor vehicle drag racing. The highly tuned performance engine (the sort here) will always require that much more attention, whether it needs it or not.
Meaning the sort of folk that own these machines get as much satisfaction from tinkering as they do from racing.
