haven't seen the di blasi in real, but surely 30kg electric vs 100kg petrol is no comparison!
How could you possibly handle the 100kg thing, and where do you store it in a boat???
The admittedly heavy di blasi bag is going to go up the passerelle with minimal fuss and down the lazarette hatch (not sure how you lift it off there though...)
what's the price of one of these then? if it was 200quid s/h, I'd get a couple :p

It's easy to walk a 100kg bike sideways, grab the back wheel move it sideways, then the front; each end only weighs 50kg!

I've done it on flat ground with my sons adventure bike that weighs 180kg....but it's virtually impossible if it's slippy or if your'e in a ditch.

..and there''s free parking at Nice airport for m'bikes, can things get any better.:)

Unfortunately the free parking is not at all secure, so there's not much chance of your bike being there next time you turn up. I use a secure vehicle storage place near the airport - last year my scooter spent most of the summer parked between a Bentley and a McLaren.

The mopeds DI BLASI is the sole folding: it can be folded to the dimensions of a bag (79,5 x 35,5 x 61,5 cm), in 5 seconds and three simple steps, without using tools and without screwing or unscrewing any device; in the same easy and quick way it returns to be a normal moped.

There are some light mini scooters available in the market but only the moped DI BLASI combines light weight (only 30 Kg) to safety and sturdiness.
The 49,9 cc engine and the variomatic drive deliver a top speed of 45 km/h

sorry thought the de blasi was electric? (at least the ones I saw the 80s looking videos...)

discussion is rather academic as I'm not spending 2K on such a thing!

I've got a weird feeling that m'bikes are bit like boats: a big compromise!

The Peugeot scooter is the best, but weighs 100kg.
The Sky mini is next best at 66kg, but little space to carry stuff.
The Deblasi outrageously expensive and only 50cc with a top speed of 25mph; IMO it's OK for around the marina.

2k.... Thats gsxr750 territory :)
I was worried about looking an idiot on a folding bike.....
Ok, ok... I know, it doesnt take a folding bike to do that.... :)
I think i will go for a stock standard cheap second hand mountain bike, and burn some calories too....
