Onan genset lights

Evening All.
My onan genset works fine but the controller in saloon has both green and yellow lights lit when working. The lights on the genset in ER only show green light on.
Anyone had similar issue?

Only the green light should be on, try unplugging the remote panel and plug it in directly on the generator to see if it is the switch or remote wiring harness that is the issue.

Pretty sure the yellow light is the signal for a pre-heater, usually flashes before engine starts, mind you its that long since ive seen mine , i could be totally wrong.

Yes you are correct if it is a EQ Diesel generator, but the yellow light should go out when the green one comes on.

Indeed the yellow is prime and should go out once cranked with green light on.
Engineer thinks might be a circuit board issue as the yellow light on the control panel on the genset also stays on but to a very dim level.
The genset is working fine so will investigate further.

2002 is when boat was built. Cant believe it was retro fit. Onan.

I meant which model Onan? Some were retro fitted by the Fairline UK dealer at the time BA Peters.

Yep better than ever after good servicing and maintenance in my care over last 5 years. Prior to that wasnt well looked after. The yellow light staying on only started end of last season.
