Noticeable lack of posting yet again by Thames boaters, except for poor old Howard who has got to be there anyway.
Have you gone into hibernation till spring or all left your mansions in Windsor and Henley and gone orf to your little place in the BVI to celebrate the earth shattering news of "that" pregnancy ?

In case you haven't noticed , Fred, the Thames is still red boarded, its been raining most days and its now also turned quite cold. Theres only so much moaning/whinging even the forum experts can do under these conditions and there's been precious few "seed topics" for the pedants and uberenthusiasts to get worked up about. Even Brayman has had to turn to visiting a circus in Hyde Park to keep himself occupied!

You don't really expect folk to post on the forum just to satisfy your desire for a little diversionary activity away from fitting snap/crackle/pop radio coms and altering the rate at which punter-prising cash collection techy stuff reduces our hard earned resources even more than boat owning, do you ?:eek:

PS - Thank Sue for the Xmas Card ! :D

Ok I am going to walk along it when I get up, I will report back. Tedd to Kingston in case anyone is the slightest bit interested.

Too early for the BVI's still full of cheap Virgin Holiday makers ...

I might pop down lunchtime and stare at it from Richmond Bridge. On the other hand I might not if it's too bloomin' chilly.

Fed up with this cold weather already and it's only early December so booked a holiday for a bit of warmth (not the BVI I hasten to add).

Some of us do not have mansions or even marina moorings. My luxury mooring is at the end of a farmer's field and, recently, the line between field and river has been vague to say the least!

Thank goodness for my neighbour on the mooring who has both waders and long legs and has managed to get to the boats a few times to check on things and adjust lines.

Tomorrow morning will be the first time for a couple of weeks that I've had a chance of getting my 4x4 near the river.

Is Boatone pregnant?

Fred being rescued after rowing about twenty feet, I, of course had rowed several miles in the soap dish and been involved in terror on the high seas after a seal took a fancy to me.

Oi .....do you mind not upsetting the locals with pictures like this they will start to have nightmares....

To all Thames users, calm down do not be alarmed there is a nice friendly lockeeper just out of shot. Honest. We most certainly would not risk life and limb dicing with death and the local fauna had this not been the case.
We are also hoping that next year we can upgrade to boats with actual cabins and engines and stuff.
Ps All donations most welcome.
PPs.Nice knees by the way.

We're in snowy Dover - it's all too depressing . . . :(

No,I for one am still here in Blighty. I could however give daily reports on how far up the garden the Thames has decided to be.:p

Never mind the river, I am still waiting to find out why Moxon thinks I may be pregnant ?

Sorry old boy - was just larking about based on OGs original post. BTW - I'm on my boat and it's lovely here. River very high and fast but great to be here. Then next week the cold snap cometh :(

Hardy as I am, last night I stayed at a warm hotel after the works Christmas party. So didn't sleep here but came down this morning. Even this short trip has charged the personal well being batteries though. Would be even better if I could actually cast off and go somewhere but I don't think that would be prudent...

This morning a wren flew on to my mooring line about two feet away and stared at me - great stuff! Love it here.
