On the Scrounge for community spirited Welders in Kent

I am involved with the Dartford Lions and the group has a carousel that is used for fund-raising. The gig needs some work (welding) and the local FE colleage were going to do it but have let the group down.

The Carousel is owned by the Dartford Lions, but is shared amongst other Kent Lions groups and due to the joint fund-raising efforts over the past year, the group was able to make a donation of £2,100 to the RNLI. (cheque being delivered tomorrow I believe).

Because of this, I wondered if there were any welders here who might be able to offer a service either very cheaply or at cost, or...?

If you are able to PM me, I can give you the details. I believe the work can be done remotely as it's welding some brackets that will hook on to the ride.

Hi I'm near Southampton, if the job can be done remotely and you can wait a week, (I'm away on hols next week) I could do it.
If any use, can you send me details of whats required.

Lisa, i'm based nr Wisbech, but if the brackets could be shipped here and back i'd be happy to weld them FOC. (As long as it's not 3 weeks work of course )

I didn't mention it to the group yet, because although I was fairly confident that we'd find someone who could help, I didn't want to get the group's hopes up.

See if you can find out how many of these brackets are Lisa and a total weight, please.
