On the sand at Studland

I've seen a few boats moored on the beach at Studland. Please advise, does this do any damage to the boat (I have a 21 foot Bayliner and don't have a dinghy)? Do I drop an anchor chain at the back as well as tie a line on the beach? Do I only moor this way when the tide is rising and then keep bringing the boat further up the beach? Do the sunbathers or the Authorities mind? Any advice gratefully received.
