I was lifted out on the morning tide of 17/11/2023. It has got colder in the last few days and I need to put some gloves in my sailing bag.
As this was the first year I've been on the Tamar and having heard lots of horror stories about the amount of marine vegetation that was to be expected, due to agricultural run off, I watched with interest as the boat was lifted out of the water. To my surprise and delight just a thin layer of slime, a few barnacles and some sea grass round the prop shaft. As no sea horses were spotted we jet washed that all off.
The prop shaft anode had eroded round the bolts and was hanging on for dear life. Note to self: paint the bolts when I put the new anode on.
Looks like my four year old Coppercoat is still working.
