With the boat shortly being a lot further away than Im used to, I was wondering whether a security upgrade would be sensible. Im interested to know if anyone uses a simple but effective system that gives a bit of peace of mind, that they would recommend?
A quick google reveals that there appears to be a whole range of possibilities from very simple stand alone boxes with movement sensors and cameras up to fully wired systems than monitor everything on board that you can possibly think of.
Im not the sort that gets too hung up on such things, but being able to see, via an App of some sort, that all is well would be nice. Any experience appreciated.

I used to have an alarm with sms etc. Not sure it's worth the hassle. I did leave the boat in Cannes and the crew next door said to moor the boat well out to stop people getting on.

Set up an old iPhone using an app called presence. Movement triggers live video. Connected to a mifi with a 3 sim. Also alerts power failure.

Cost nothing and shows what is happening. Don't bother on home berth
