Sixpence, after near disaster when there was a very loud bang, and the only thing stopping her from falling over was the forklift, was finally launched on Saturday 14th June 2008. A little later than planned but couldn't be helped, no point risking everything we've done by rushing.
Many thanks to David (Oldsalt) who drove all the way from oop North just to help out, hope you enjoyed the delivery job David /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif and to Darren, Peter, Simon, Colin and our very own tillergirl who kept David and Darren busy on the trip /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
She is now sitting on my mooring, and as soon as the rest of the bottle screws turn up, the mast will go up, I hope /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif are you free Neil ? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif and we can move her onto her tidal mooring and go sailing /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif if anyone can come over for the teaching bit /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Brendan, did you ever think you would see the day ? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Chris, with fuel prices the way they are, only the sensible are moving over to sail /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry I've been a bit distracted from here recently folks, but up to the point where David said that the water in the bilges was normal, I've been suffering the stress just a little bit /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Now able to relax, she is floating happily outside, and I can rest a bit, cos I is proper knackered now /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Nearly a geek! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Though I did nearly get sea sick with those photo effects, and where is the all important sound track?

Great to see it in the water though! Well done.

Thanks buddy /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Louise hates the effect too but I'm too knackered now to edit any more, she gave me nearly 200 pics to choose from and as for soundtrack, looked for it with my one remaining open eye but couldn't see or remember how to add one /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
If you know how, please tell /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Well Dave, it was a bloody tough project you took on there, and with lots of projects that are taken on by some people not being finished, I don't know how any of us expected it to work out, but she's looking brilliant! (even for a rag and stick job /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ), it must be a very rewarding feeling!

When you've got more time, you could put together a timeline of how she was when you got her to how she is now for anone that missed it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Any interior pics surfacing soon? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Demanding little sod aren't you ? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks, very much appreciated and if you or anyone else from up there ever makes it down to my neck of the wood, your company aboard would be more than welcome.
Off to bed now as it's been a long and hard struggle, and I'm knackered, but nowhere near as knackered as Alan must be feeling now. Brilliant result Alan, just caught up on the thread, you can take my baby out any time mate /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Don't you need to put a stick on it now?

Thanks everyone, your comments are very much appreciated.
Tim, didn't want to put the stick up until the wiring was replaced and that is now well in hand /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif with luck, the mast will be erected by the weekend

Here are a few more pics of the delivery trip.

All sorted and ready to go.

Our little Lady helm takes charge, with a high level of concentration.

Fenders in all ship shape and Bristol fashion we make our way along the river.

The inevitable stop at the pub.

This way, come on boys I need a drink after all that hard work.

Time to take on bunkers for the rest of the passage.

Thanks for the very kind offer Dave, but I don't think I could stand the karaoke;

You and Louise deserve some real quality time with her, without having the place cluttered up with a load of Scottish louts like wirsel's.

Have great times with Sixpence!
