Ombrine 960 with 2xVolvo Penta 4.3 GXi vs Ombrine 900 with 2x Mercruiser 4.3

Looking at 2 boats of similar size/condition/configuration. Both have engines and legs up to scratch with respect to servicing - is there a good objective reason to choose one over the other when these 2 boats are as below?

Ombrine 960 with 2xVolvo Penta 4.3 GXi
Ombrine 900 with 2xMercruiser 4.3

Mercruiser spares are cheaper, but Volvo maybe more readily available depending on where you are. But having worked on both for the past 20 odd years I've always chosen and run Mercruiser petrols.

Volvo & Mercruiser parts and knowledge are readily available here - what could swing it for me is if one is easier to do the routine servicing and inspections (filters/fluids/belts/impellers/plugs/) on than the other .....
