Saw one of these in Greece the last time I was there; I guess it's made by Olympic Marine nearish to Athens, but does anybody know who designed it? How many built? And are they any good? Looked pretty sleek to me, with a fairly narrow beam. I've got digitised pics, but don't know how to put them here; any hints?

cheers,
david

Hi it is based on the Sun Legende 41 I have a friend that has one and he is very pleased with it .On the other hand I am told that the Greek Gov gave greek owners a grant of 80% of its value to attract tourism.the owners were suposed to put up the other 20% lots did not do this and cut corners and saved this money,
hence some boats are of very poor quality. Another scam is to get Jeanneau badges and change the paperwork and sell them to mugs, as Sun legendes 41.
cheers bobt

Could that be John & Sarah, Bob?

Yes there are a few around and they appear to sail well. If though, you want internal volume it is quite small for the length although the above couple (& often friends) spend the bulk of the summer on theirs.

At the right price it could be a good buy. It is a masthead rig with an expensive ss and alloy backstay tensioner which is the wrong way up allowing salt to accumulate inside it and since a masthead rig doesn't need regular adjustment to bend the mast like a fractional, it can seize making "easing the rig" in the winter difficult.
