New boat being bought home on Wednesday from Burnham to Medway, weather permitting. Two big non electrickery Perkins deisels on good old fashioned shafts. Boat bought from Essex boatyards and was a very pleasant experience as mentioned by several other satisfied forumites. Many thanks to Guy Barke.
The boat is a Transocean 36 and featured in MBM a few years ago, does anybody have a copy of MBM March 2007,be grateful for a PDF or photocopy. Fred.

I love that rear cockpit, very MEDiterranean.
Enjoy!!

"I love that rear cockpit, very MEDiterranean." ............Yea will keep the rain off .

thank you gentlemen....the name of the boat is/was Ryton ,but that will soon be changed.
I wanted to rename her after a rather young attractive weather girl on our local TV,but for some reason the wife said no,so it going to named after no1 daughter again :(:)
Forgot to mention that boat was built up on the Broads someplace and so comes complete with the most ginormous holding tank and of course has a BSS until 2013.
The hull was moulded in 1975 and the chap who bought it spent nearly 30 years fitting it out,she had her engines fittted along with a complete posh Raymarine colour radar/plotter/fishfiner system in 2002.Proper lectric bog of course.
Boat was finally launched in 2005,did about 50 hours according to engine log and then went into hibernation until last year.
Unable to find any info on hull, broker had a few stabs at it being poss Colvic, does not look like Aquafibre tho....any guesses.

There is a very prounounced keel to left of pix, very unlike planing V hull on Princess 33 or 37.

Are those chrome vents on the side forward facing ?

Is that not just asking to have a passing wave funnel down them ?

Richard Shead will probably be able to sort you out the relevant copy of MBM if you ask him nicely ....

Good point... will check

Richard has already offered to rummage in his old drawers .

Nothing wrong with forward-facing vents - more efficient at drawing fresh air in. Thats as long as you have proper dorade boxes or something similar to separate the wet stuff from the airy-fairy stuff!

ps greetings from Wildest Wales. Amazed to find they even have t'internet and other techie stuff here now, look you!

Far too bright and clean for the Medway Fred, I hope you dull it down a bit and fit "Medway river chandlery" fenders to your craft.
