Right, ere I am in the 21st century as advised by messrs Oldgit!

I will pose the same question as posted on the raggies forum..........

Does anyone know of a web site that I can get some in depth info & possibly comparisons of Navigation programs? Also where/who is the best place to purchase from?

If I can get some answers I might be persuaded to chuck me loadstone and knotted rope overboard!

OK .There are several companies which do basic software for cheapskates and you can upgrade later to add wind vectors tidal flows and complicated stuff like that.a search for either transas.navipro or seapro to start with should do trick.Several others at no cost freeware but all need you to be some sort of Bill Gates clone to get working. The paid for ones also do neat CD foc which gives nifty demo to play with first.Basic systems seem to start from around 80-100 quids and go up to lots and lots.

Oooh look its still not dark and its nearly 5pm
