Three Corvette 32's for sale on the Thames and like the look of the space. Have been reading some threads re build quality which puts me off.
Two have small volvos (65hp) and one has 160hp's. Will be using on the river. One has had fuel tanks replaced - this seems like a good idea...
Your thoughts appreciated

Loads of space and on the river I would have thought power would not be an issue - might air draft be a bit type if you want to go up stream?
Especially Osney Bridge.

No Corvette will go under Osney Bridge, even the Europa.

Many of the boats on the river with the 65hp engines come from the Irish lakes and rivers and were hire boats, hence the reasanable price.

The Corvette is a lovely boat, we love ours.

Best wishes,

Paul

Karl Farrant Marine, he knows them inside out (literally) and will be able to give you a heads up. He is also the dealer but has been involved with them for many years and many owners / builders.

Thanks guys re Corvette

Went to view one today. Only got as far as the pontoon... Teak deck lifting and needs recaulking everywhere. Chunks missing from the gunwhale and enough moss growing in the window frames to start a mushroom farm. Nice...
£60,000 of my hard earned cash on that. I don't think so.

Don't tell me - the broker/vendor described it as 'immaculate'.

Welcome to boating. :D

New flexiteak decks will cost you about £8,000, and will look like new, I've just had mine done.

I know 4 x owners of 4 x Corvettes and each love them and there seems no end to their enthusiasm for them. They are unique boats and amazing for their LOA. So much of their design just makes sense. In saying that I prefer the more modern flybridge design, but that's just a presonal thing but I can see why people love their Corvettes.

If the teak decks are knackered, then you just have to price in new one as part of the sale. I wouldn't run away from a boat in that condition if the price is right.
