Good afternoon all 
I thought i would share some information and pictures of my little winter project which is nearing completion.
I purchased "Leander" from Hayling Island autumn 2015 knowing there was a fair bit of work ahead of me to get it comfortable again. Initially i knew the cabin would require ripping out and starting again because the Houdini marine hatch was badly leaking and all the interior woodwork and linings were rotten. Luckilly for me the cushions although there was moss growing on them actually pressure washed up as good as new although they took 2 weeks to dry out. New Gebo replacement hatch purchased and the boat was left to dry out for several weeks before installing stretch fabric directly to the GRP. Bulkhead plywood renewed and covered in the same lining material and installed with stainless screws. After the cabin lining and new timber was installed the new hatch was installed and fittings re sealed. Stage one completed, finally a dry and comfortable cabin.
As with all things i soon realised that that was just the start of it particularly when looking at the electronics. None of the electronics were fused in any way and the wiring from the factory was corroded and badly in need of replacement. All factory wiring from front to back was pulled out from bow to stern and replaced with new wiring which is the correct gauge and terminated either to the new switch panel or to the newly installed fuse box with soldered and heat shrunk connections on cable joints and soldered and crimped terminals everywhere else. Tons of new parts have been added such as, LED navigation lights, new compact Lowrance depth and temperature gauge with skimmer transducer installed on the transom, Second hand CD player fitted in waterproof housing with new Bass Face speakers stealth installed into the cockpit side compartments, USB charging point on dash board for Nexus 7 tablet running Navionics, new LED cabin strip lights and brass switch Fuse switch panel, fuse box, battery isolater on negative terminal on battery Etc. All now in and working with everything correctly fused.
There are only a few little jobs to do now and shes basically safe to use as is. My shopping list for the next few months is an Outboard bracket (let me know if your selling one), small aux outboard, Static VHF with inbuilt GPS and DSC probably a Cobra unit, service kit for the outboard, trailer bearings, make new cushion covers to replace UV damaged bench seat in cockpit and a few stainless nuts and bolts to fit cabin doors and fender eyes. Thats about it!
