I am fixing an old Volvo Penta aq100a petrol engine, I want to replace the faulty fuel pump with an electronic unit, does anyone know of a suitable unit and who could supply one? or even the correct thread sizes for the fuel lines?

Also i would like to replace the HT coil with a more reliable modern type, any suggestions welcome.

Thanks Rick...

I'm not familiar with that engine, but I presume it has a carburettor. If so, a visit to your friendly local car dump for an electric fuel pump may solve your problem. You'd want a low pressure pump - the one that lifts fuel from the tank to the engine, not the injector pump!

I can't help with the coil, sorry - except to suggest a similar bit of lateral thinking involving a car or bike breaker.

I've got a 115, certain things you will be able to get from car spare shops, if like the 115 it's basically a car engine marinised

You have Southern Carburetors for Carb parts

Key Parts seem to have a lot of 2nd hand spares. The bits they have sent out to me have been in good nick.

Forget about all of the above...I didn't really read your post correctly..

Why do you want an Electronic pump? You should still be able to get hold of the mechanic pump, I had to have one fitted on my 115 and I don't believe it was so difficult to track down.
