Old unused hatch lid or similar needed

For a project in work, we're glueing some TV cameras onto a boat.

We need to demonstrate to the race authorities that we can glue them on, they'll stay on, but that we can remove them afterwards. We know how to do this!

I need a bit of portable boat therefore to take to a presentation. I need a section with moulded in non skid, with a gelcoat finish. I don't want to saw a hole in my own boat or revove anything - an anchor hatch or similar would be perfect but I only have 1!

So has anyone got an unused bit of boat lying around the shed that I could take off your hands? I live west of London and the boat's currently in Southampton so I could collect anywhere nearby either.

Why not contact a boat-maker associated with the race - a sponsor, perhaps?

Fibreglass one up, it should only take you a couple of hours to make something suitable to demostrate how the cameras are fitted...
