Weather permitting a trip to Scotland is planned for this summer leaving from the Orwell.
With a plotter and back up electronic charts on board i am on the hunt for old charts for back up and passage planning ,i am sorted for the Humber to the Isle of Wight.
Before I go into the wider forum has anybody got any I can buy / borrow etc.

Thanks

Hi M,
We inherited a set of charts going from Sth Coast North and West as Orcana competed in the Three Peaks Yacht Race the year we bought her.
Have also some pilots Kintyre to Ardnamurchan and Skye and Northwest. I will have a look at the charts and drop you a PM.

Leaving early May should give some Easterly winds that time of year but who knows. Im asking locally as it is easier to collect charts while out and about.

Thanks Ben that would be a great help.

Hi M,
We have a mix of sheets and I have added each sheet ref: 5609.6 and 5609.7 Lleyn Peninsula and Plans in the northern parts of Cardigan Bay, 1461 Menai Straight, 1484 Cardigan Bay, 1970 Caernarfon Bay, 1971 Cardigan Bay Northern Part, 1826 Irish Sea Eastern Part, 2724 North Ch to Firth of Lorn, 2372 Loch Linnhe, Corran Narrows, Fort William and Corpach.
I believe I have some others on board which I will dig out when down next. You are welcome to what we have, we'll have them all back once you are done. We can PM to arrange handover or I'll drop them off at RHYC for your attention when I get down over the next few weeks.
Just looking through the charts gets the mind going - what a great sail you are going to have.
