I'm looking for and old type speed/temp transducer for a Autohelm Tridata (ST50 series) I believe the number is Z092 (low speed) from around 1992. I'm aware it's superseded by a new type that can be used as well, but my problem is the boat is in the water and I prefer not to replace the skin fitting at the moment (taking boat out sets me back 250 euro's /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif ) Does any of the forum member know about and old type I can have/buy. I don't need the skin fitting itself, just the insert with the paddlewheel.
I have been on E-Bay but nothing there.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for your reply.
Just to be sure, I'm talking about the transducer device, not just the paddlewheel.
I'm not sure about the exact diameter. It's the version without the flaps inside the skin fitting that limit the water coming in when you pull the transducer.
Looking at the old ST50 manual, I'd say the diameter is about 40mm, as the hole for the skin fitting is 50 mm. The length would be something like 100-120 mm.
It has a large type paddlewheel with no flanges next to it.
I can measure it, take a picture and E-mail this to you if that would help. Please PM me you mail address in such case.

Thanks in advance,
Arno

It might be worth looking on the Airmar website. Airmar have made most people's transducers (incl Raymarine) for some years. They give compatibility details and dimensions, so you can probably identify a direct replacement.

Thanks Stuey, but the point is that I'm looking for the old model as I don't want to get my boat out of the water just because of this. The replacement model requires a new skin fitting as well.

I actually called the Service Centre already last week and they didn't have the old model anymore

Cheers,

Arno
