I'm giving my old dear the once over, including getting rid of the vinyl name on bow and stern. It's a hell of a job scraping away at it but it's too old to come off cleanly once a corner has been lifted. Are there any magical spray-on sticker removers or other methods I should know about?
Thanks for all help received.

you can also use hot water to remove if you have not got a hot air gun

A 1000watt hair drier will also do the job and not be quite so fierce as a hot air gun. To remove the shaddow outline of the lettering, clean area with turps or similar and a light rubbing with "T" cut will remove all trace. Used all the time by garages etc. removing lettering from vans.
