Having never sailed in my life before, I took a RYA 'Start Sailing' course this weekend. Apart from the joys of capsizing 4 times and an intimate meeting with the boom of the Pico, I rather enjoyed it! One of dad's less wild cat shemes, my children said of their 60 year old father.
But now I really don't think I can go any further unless I can find someone experienced who is prepared to let me join them ocassionally to help refresh and extend what I learnt last weekend. So if anyone within easy travelling of West Cumbria feels able to help me, please help my new found enthusiasm not to wither!
