old/new portlight problem

Hi, I have a problem that I have just noticed after 2 years, one of the very small hatched (Lewmar) never had the plastic protection cover taken off, now its coming off in minute bits - anything I can use to get it off that wont scratch or mark the acrylic?

Try gental heat ( from a hair dryer) and a wooden spatula.
