Old-model Fairline Targa 48 on ebay

Was that the princess 420 at shamrock quay Peter? If so I looked at it as well. The port engine sounded really rough as it had worn timing gears. If it is this one its the one that's for sale out in Lanzarote up with many brokers.

That's the one Paul.

Been considering it myself but just seems and feels dated compared to Princess V series. Problem is you are paying for an 15m berth where more modern 12m can do the same job. A few more thousand then I may take a 30 min boat ride round into the Med.

Thats not quite true. The unique selling point of the Targa 48 at the time it was launched was the fact that it had 3 sleeping cabins which was the main reason I bought one and the fact that it had shaftdrive rather than sterndrive. The T48 is actually a very good sea boat and I'd certainly prefer to be out in the rough stuff in a T48 rather than a smaller sterndrive boat

are you having it jimmy ???

Nope, it's not for me. In fact I do like those T48's, and it would be interesting to have one as a project boat (I quite like the idea of gutting the entire interior and going again with it) but now's not the moment for that for me. I am interested to see how much it makes though.
