Ive just bought a new boat (well new to me) and it has a 2007 10' Garmin 2010C Chartplotter - whilst I plan an upgrade in the future I'd like to use this for now - problem it it didnt come with any charts - it uses the old Garmin data card type.
A mate had one which he has given to me - problem is, the unit says 'Cant unlock maps' Looking online it seems charts are locked to certian devices.
Is there anyway I can 'unlock' the card to enable the unit to access the maps?
Seems a shame to throw away a perfectly good plotter.
Garmin no longer support this unit.
