Its not to far away now!

We are planning on going over on the ferry in the afternoon and staying for the evening before getting the last ferry home again.

Couple of questions, last year when were were there, im sure i saw some well behaved dogs (on leads) around the place? we would like to take our two dogs with us, assume this would be ok?

What happens in the evening at Gaffers? last year we left late afternoon and seem to remember a tent being set up with ticketed entrance?

Fingers crossed the weather is as good as last year!!

Hi there

Dogs will be fine I suspect if they are on a lead.

Old Gaffers is pretty much the whole town so in terms of what happens in the evening it really depends where you are and what you fancy doing. The big marquee by the marina was a ticketed affair in the evening. I have to say we didn't "go in" as we were either out and about around Yarmouth or on the boat. By the time you'd had a few late afternoon drinks, gone for something to eat at 8.00 - 8.30 and come back out there wasn't much need to stand in a tent listening to bands. But plenty did.

All the pubs do something, the market square area will have something on and there may even be something going on around the common. You won't struggle to find something to amuse yourself.

If all else fails you could always try to work out what a "Prawnie" actually is :)

Thanks Henry,

You know me, i dont like to drink so will just sit in the corner i guess and watch the world go by! :p

fingers crossed for the weather this year, really enjoyed last year!

Question. Is it possible to sneak under the road bridge to moor if you have an air draft of about 2.5m? Always had a raggie before which ruled this out, but wouldn't mind visiting Yarmouth again if I could sneak up river.

Bugger, promised myself we'd go this year. just checked availability online and all berths are booked for the Friday and Saturday :(
