Or my father who enjoyed the Thames....

My Dad who spent many a year enjoying every last mile of the Thames member of LRYC before hitting the coast some 10 years ago passed away today.

Had a stupidly short fight against Cancer and if I am honest let down by the system that served so many others so well..

Still I have been somewhat amazed by the calls today from many Thames based folk so if you did know him please inform those that perhaps dont know as yet.

Cheers and it dont get any easier does it...

No it doesn't - but you obviously loved and admired him - so he has left you a legacy of good memories which you will come to treasure.
Sorry for your loss.

Hi Richard,

I was only speaking to your dad last week. I'm really sorry to hear the bad news. Is it appropriate to mention the venue and date/ time of the funeral, which I have already been informed of? There may be others on this forum who'd wish to pay their respects.

Condolences to all the family.

Jeez...

How many tools can one man have! cleared the boat in prep for its return to the Thames, at least four full sets of sockets, five yes five pairs of binos and lost count of how many kettles and lifejackets and VHF's, I am amazed it floated....
