The 2007 Cricket world cup is in the West Indies in March next year; the perfect time for a cruise in that part of the world.

How about a Forum Rally where we follow our team? Mobo's welcome.

Full details of the schedule etc here

Keith, is their a forum limit for buying 35 yr old grannies with low mileage?

Depends who "Our" team is.

I (and I suspect, You) would like to spend the first round in St Kitts where the bulk of Forumites would want to be in St Lucia.

Thereafter it is easy. The bulk of Forumites will head home and we will stay.

Ducking behind the parapet. Byeeeeeee

Yes I don't know who "Our" team is either.

For Me I need to be in both places, being English and living in South Africa last 23 years.

With Australia in the same group as South Africa and based on the last games I don't know how far South Africa will get

Yep, Australia will have a tough draw in the second round.

This is one day Cricket and we all know who won the ODI series last month.

My understanding is that the top two in each draw go through, so even if the Ozzies are top of the draw, as long as we are second, we go through and then play them again in the final.

Yep, but the second placed team has (If the other groups finish according to seeding) a more difficult run in the second round.

So the Aussies, who will finish second in our group, will get knocked out in the first game of the second round when they lose to Sri Lanka. (This is of course if the seedings remain as they are now....

Wishful thinking

[/ QUOTE ]Agree. But start in Trinidad & Tobago for the warm up games.

Any bets on the theme song?

Woah, I'm going to Barbados
Woah, back to the palm trees
Woah, I'm going to see my Team
Woah, in the sunny Carribean sea

I don't wanna be bus driver all my life
I've seen too much of Brixton town, in the night
Fly away on Coconut Airways
Climbing high, Barbados sky

I look up at the sky and I see the clouds
I look down at the ground and I see the rain go down the drain
Fly away on Coconut Airways
Climbing high, Barbados sky

Woah, I'm going to Barbados
Woah, back to the palm trees
Woah, I'm going to see my Team
Woah, in the sunny Carribean sea

Far away from London town and the rain
It's really very nice to be home again
Mary-Jane, on the Coconut Airways
Now I know, she love me so

Woah, I'm going to Barbados
Woah, back to the palm trees
Woah, I'm going to see my girlfriend
Woah, in the sunny Carribean sea

Ladies and gentlemen, we are now commencing our approach into Bridgetown Barbados
The weather is fine with approximate temperature of 90 degrees Fahrenheit
The sky is blue and the palm trees are really cool
Captain Wilkock and his crew hope you have had a pleasant flight
And that you will fly Coconut Airways again

Woah, I'm going to Barbados
Woah, back to the palm trees
Woah, I'm going to see my girlfriend
Woah, in the sunny Carribean sea

Woah, I'm going to Barbados
Woah, back to the palm trees
Woah, I'm going to see my girlfriend
Woah, in the sunny Carribean sea

Woah, I'm going to Barbados
Woah, back to the palm trees
Woah, I'm going to see my girlfriend
Woah, in the sunny Carribean sea

Or possibly...

I was walkin' down the street
Concentratin' on truckin' right
I heard a dark voice beside of me
And I looked round in a state of fright
I saw four faces one mad
A brother from the gutter
They looked me up and down a bit
And turned to each other

I say
I don't like cricket oh no
I love it
I don't like cricket oh no
I love it
Don't you walk thru my words
You got to show some respect
Don't you walk thru my words
'Cause you ain't heard me out yet

Well he looked down at my silver chain
He said I'll give you one dollar
I said you've got to be jokin' man
It was a present from me Mother
He said I like it I want it
I'll take it off your hands
And you'll be sorry you crossed me
You'd better understand that you're alone
A long way from home

And I say
I don't like reggae no no
I love it
I don't like reggae oh no
I love it
Don't you cramp me style
Don't you queer on me pitch
Don't you walk thru my words
'Cause you ain't heard me out yet

I hurried back to the swimming pool
Sinkin' pina coladas
I heard a dark voice beside me say
Would you like something harder
She said I've got it you want it
My harvest is the best
And if you try it you'll like it
And wallow in a Dreadlock Holiday

And I say
Don't like Jamaica oh no
I love her
Don't like Jamaica oh no
I love her oh yea
Don't you walk thru her words
You got to show some respect
Don't you walk thru her words
'Cause you ain't heard her out yet

I don't like cricket
I love it
I don't like reggae
I love it
Don't like Jamaica
I love her

I hurried back to the swimming pool

Nah. The clever money is on this one:

A rum-lime honey sing a magical tune
Found her underneath the Caribbean Moon
Wind is blowin' in the coconut tree
Blowin' the moonlight over you and me

Hey Caribbean moon yellow yellow
Caribbean moon yellow yellow
Caribbean moon yellow yellow
Caribbean moon shine all night

Calypso singer singin' in the sun
Sing about the rivers of Babylon
Rasta music, Caribbean sea
Come on everybody sing the tune with me

Hey Caribbean moon yellow yellow
Caribbean moon yellow yellow
Caribbean moon yellow yellow
Caribbean moon shine all night

When I sing this song it makes me feel so glad
It was very musical, the love we had
Oh Martha, Martha let me sing to you
The song about the moon and the big bamboo

- Kevin Ayers

Doesn't mention cricket but, hey, you're in the Caribbean; who gives a f*** about some bloomin' game?

Underneath the mango tree
Me honey and me can watch for the moon
Underneath the mango tree
Me honey and me make make boolooloop soon
Underneath the moonlit sky
Me honey and I can sit hand in hand
Underneath the moonlit sky
Me honey and I can make fairyland
Mango banana and tangerine
Sugar and ackee and cocoa bean
When we get marry we make them grow
And nine little chilins' in a row
Underneath the mango tree
Me honey and me can watch for the moon
Underneath the mango tree
Me honey and me we plan marry soon
Mango, banana and tangerine
Sugar and ackee and cocoa bean
When we get marry we make them grow
And nine little chilins' in a row
Underneath the mango tree
Me honey and me can watch for the moon
Underneath the mango tree
Me honey and me we plan marry soon
Underneath the mango tree
Underneath the mango tree
Underneath the mango tree
Underneath the mango tree
