Ok, we do have windy days also in the Med, which rule out cruising...

...so, what now, skip?
I suppose that those with a superyacht handy might have a sauna or a jacuzzi onboard.
But luckily, there are indeed alternatives also for the rest of us - and I'd dare saying, even better ones.
Like going for a nice walk along cliffs with some friends, and reach a secluded (and unknown to most) natural swimming pool, which you can call your private one!

Though unfortunately, you still must ask the permission to mother nature, 'cause really rough sea can reach the pool and make it a scary place, at times.
In fact, it's hard to believe that the pic at 1:00 shows the same place which at the end of the video is shown in the left side, getting flooded by green water and foam...

Better viewed in full screen @ 720p, for those with a decent connection.

Things do seem a bit worse than usual this year down there ?
Chum with boat in Porto Petro has been down three times in the last couple of months and would very much like mebbe just one day of flat calm and no wind for his next visit.
Hope to be going out for a day or two next month, perhaps autumn will see a bit less activity in the weather dept.

Get a proper boat with some white flappy things?
LOL, yeah, but trust me P, you wouldn't have wanted to be out there with the 4m or so breaking waves shown at the end of the clip (which as usually doesn't give a proper idea of how bad it was).
Ok, I know that you actually survived some even worse conditions, but I mean, you wouldn't want to be there for pleasure, regardless of the type of boat... :)

Do you mean Porto Petro in Majorca?
Weird, I am just about at the same latitude down here in S Sardinia, and so far I can't complain at all.
Since the beginning of the summer, a couple of hands would be more than enough to count the number of days where weather wasn't good enough to go boating...
Here, I said that. Now the hell will break loose for a month at least!

But a cap full of wind and some "interesting" waves to play amongst.........:rolleyes:

As usual, the vid quality is very high! Keep em coming, please. :D

You certainly love your swims P :)

The water still looks warm (no wetsuit) and still clear despite the surging wave action through the little canal section.
I wondered how sharp the rocks would have been initially.....then noticed your shoes in the closing minutes!

Oh yeah, indeed water is still very warm around here, generally speaking.
But that specific spot, due to the small volume of water and a relatively low exchange with the open sea, is actually "swimmable" almost all year round...!
I didn't measure it in this occasion, but it certainly wasn't far from 30° C, go figure!

Re. the rocks, actually they aren't too bad inside the pool, where the waves have smoothed them throughout the decades, if not centuries.
But some shoes are definitely necessary to safely walk all around it, so when we go there we use to wear something which works well both for walking and swimming... :)
