ok! how far?

I think our longest was Menorca to Tunisia 306 miles according to our logbook.
Thats longer than the boat's planing range.
We did 10 hours at about 10 knots and then finished off at full planing speed.

Done with a few forum friends and all recorded somewhere on this forum.

We then held a "sweepstake" - everyone had to put a fiver in and provide a guestimate to the amount of fuel used. I felt confident that I would win but I was "out bidded" by my daughter!! The logbook shows 3255 litres loaded in Tunisia. The boat's tanks were "brimmed out" in Mahon (Menorca) before leaving. Our Princess 67 holds 4080 litres so in fact we had plenty spare and could have made it to the next port without any problems.

Coruna to Camaret in TCM's Leopard, not sure of distance but about 4000 litres, 100 cigarettes and 20 cans of red bull.

Fuel dock to fuel dock is 339nm. :)

BTW, 4000 lts would be v good for the Leopard on that crossing, were you pootling some of the way?

Ok

Far too embarrassed to say on here!

We all start sometime and a lot of these long trip are on some big boats. Bigger Boats are very civilised for longer passages. My family had a 52 princes a few years ago and we thought nothing of a day trip from Poole to cherbourge for lunch and back in time for a late supper. Fuel was 12p per litre.

We were asked yesterday how long it would take us to get from Hamble to to say Fowey in Cornwall. I reckoned, without looking at a chart and given the right conditions, it would be a trip broken up over two days in our size boat (36ft). Am I about right? Surely it would be too much to do in a day? Don't know, never done it.

It's about 140 nm. I would have thought very doable in your boat in a day in nice conditions. Start planning! :)
