Sea Tryst will be on the market shortly, broker came and did his business on Friday, no doubt some will ask why?
the short answer is health, not mine but swmbo's, her hips have been replaced for the second time in 12 years, she has more metal inside her than Steve Austin, to the point that, now she sets the airport alarms off:eek:

So as disgraceful pensioners we've now decided to let her go, rather than run the risk of either of us falling over and doing any long lasting damage to ourselves. I've been more than happy to crew single handed, but it seems a bit selfish to leave swmbo ashore, yes she been out on various trips, but as a passenger not as second mate.so we took the decision to move on and do something else, but as of now don't know what.

They ought to make special hip joints from ferrous metal. Then you could fit magnets all round the side decks to keep her inboard.

The motor-caravan seems to be the next step for many after giving up the boat. I can think of many worse things to do than swanning around Europe in one. Several friends of ours have done this and are enjoying it.

David,

I'm sorry that is the case, of course I hope the sale goes smoothly. I am sure you will stick around here, and in the future if you need a bit of a boat fix It would be a pleasure to take you over to cowes for a pint.

James

Dave, completely understandable, a pity none the less, I am sure you'll find a way get out on the water occasionally though.

Give Lorene our love David, a sensible decision by the sounds of it. You'll still be able to get your boaty fix sitting by the slipway at Calshot taking the pee out of all the launching mishaps :)

Very sorry to read this and imagine it must be a difficult decision seeing how long you've been boating. I wish you all the very best however and hope you'll keep posting on here. If ever you find yourself down this part of the county and at a loose end on a calm sunny day, please don't hesitate to give me shout! Hopefully the Arrowbolt will be restored and seaworthy by then and you can take a trip down memory lane...
