Hi everyone, Ive got a P32, which has developed low oil pressure port side, I have tested every single possibility as to why this is happening. Im now faced with the prospect of removing the engine to check the oil pump and pickup tube!!! Has anyone here ever removed an engine without cutting away the cill below the doors? Its kamd300.
Chris.

Piston cooling jet vakve problem or relief valve problem , the valves are in the block side of engine where oil filter pipes exit , no need to take engine oil to replace .
Try this first , what pressure do you get when cold at idle and hot at idle ?

Presumably you have swapped gauges and sensors? Is there a filter bypass valve? Pressure relief valve?
Yes I’ve changed guages and sensors back to front, changed oil twice. Flushed the engine.
but still 1 bar on idle. Although 4bar at 15knts.

Thanks for the info. Ive got down in there and looked at the relief valve, checcked out the schematic drawings, would I be right in taking a chance on replacing the 2 springs, valve seats and cone? Is that where the problem would be?

Volvo Paul. You are the man!!!! I did as you suggested. I replaced the springs in the oil pump reducer valves. Hey presto, 2bar went to 6 bar!! Thank you very much for your helpful advice. Also saving me a fortune by not removing the engine. Thanks
